3. Legal Basis for Processing

Consent (explicit for Shielded Filing).
Contractual necessity (service delivery).
Legitimate interest (fraud prevention, service improvement).

4. Data Retention

Case-related data is retained for 180 days after closure unless required for statutory compliance.
You may request earlier deletion.
Data stored beyond retention is anonymized or securely purged.

5. Your Rights Under DPDPA

You have the right to:

Access your personal data.
Correct inaccurate information.
Request deletion.
Withdraw consent.
Nominate someone for data rights after death.

8. Shielded Filing (Proxy Filing) Policy

Shielded Filing is a privacy-protection mechanism where an authorised representative files on your behalf. It remains permissible when:

You authorise the representative to file the application.
It does not violate RTI Act exemptions (Section 6(1) compliance).

Consent Requirements

  • Explicit user consent.
  • ID verification (securely encrypted).
  • Declaration approving authorised filing.
  • Digital consent timestamp.

Identity Protection

  • Identity is not displayed in submitted petitions.
  • Identity is never shared unless legally required.
  • Identity remains encrypted in our internal system.

Disclosure Triggers

  • Court order.
  • Competent authority directive.
  • Law enforcement requirement.

9. DPDPA Compliance

We adhere to the following principles:

Lawful Processing: Data collected only with consent.
Data Minimization: Only essential information is collected.

Consent-based Shielded Filing: Explicit consent is taken for proxy filing.
